Attestability, regionality and meaning

@Metaknowledge, all of the forms listed by Portuguese Wikipedia are attested. You will find more uses than mentions if you search for the plural on GB. Even all forms counted together leaves this term uncommon; much less common than quiabo, to an extent that justifies converting the definition to {{synonym of}} in my opinion, but I don’t feel strongly about it.

Unfortunately there are not enough hits to draw a definitive conclusion but it seems that this term and its forms are dated and were used primarily in Brazil.

Another thing I noticed is that some sources mention or use it as a particular variety of okra, rather than a strict synonym of quiabo, but these are in the minority. — Ungoliant ^(falai) 21:08, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
