Add the protologism tag?[edit]

Doesn't make sense why. It got a significant amount of coverage from prominent media outlets back in the day. Just because something fades off the radar doesn't mean it ceases to be notable from a historical or encyclopedic perspective. This is still used today, albeit much less.
