I wouldn't expect dolphins and whales to be classed as seafood, although technically I suppose they are. The Language Learner (talk) 08:37, 5 September 2019 (UTC)

Current definition seems to cover anything that originates in the sea. We do not usually eat whales and dolphins but that's more a cultural thing. Chambers says "food got from the sea, especially shellfish". Equinox ◑ 08:56, 5 September 2019 (UTC)
