notice "shod" is pretty much an alternative for shoed (preferred, even?), but I think you can use "shod" where "shoed" doesn't apply - e.g. if a horse has been shod I *think* it can imply the horseshoes have recently been applied - or - this is a horse that at some stage has been shod (as opposed to a wild horse) yet might not have any at the moment.

Shouldn't the wiktionary software automatically spot entries like "shod" and "shoed" that relate to "shoe" (in the same way) and put in some kind of sensible link from one to 'tother?? (ditto for likes of rough-shod??). Just a thought. Mark. 202.78.155.231 04:48, 16 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
