This is wrong[edit]

So basically, now people are bring up this NPR article about it being an out of date term. NPR is basically quoting an anonymous person off the internet, and no replacement term is being given. What should you call dress pants with a looser fit that don't have a matching jacket if not 'slacks'? Dress trousers can imply a matching jacket.
