We slept the night in a hotel[edit]

Same as sleep with[edit]

Most adults would not need this spelled out, but it's our job to be the helping hand just in case one needs it ... in an intransitive sentence sleep can serve the role of sleep with, as in

Oh, she didnt earn her promotion, she just slept her way to the top.

Where some might not catch the double entendre in the sentence, that the woman is only being promoted because of sexual favors to her boss. Soap 12:50, 26 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
