"sleigh" and "sled", sports championship wording[edit]
In Olympic IOC terminology cf. bob, there appears to be another contrast between "sled" and "sleigh": The equipment is named "sled", whereas the competition events are denoted by the term "sleigh". The competing teams are named "sled"s in most cases within the text, example: https://olympics.com/beijing-2022/olympic-games/static/owg2022/pdf/OWG2022/BOB/OWG2022_BOB_B99_BOB-------------------------------.pdf .
