etymology[edit]

Perhaps it is a calque of 噉樣噉样 (literally “such + appearance”). The text by Hall mentions so fashion "thusly" and how fashion "how?", which may be 噉樣噉样 (literally “such + appearance”) and 點樣点样 (literally “how + appearance”). —Suzukaze-c 05:16, 17 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
