  • Titivate Ms Leopold + Titivate does not result in any hits on google. --Connel MacKenzie 17:39, 9 Mar 2005 (UTC)
  • Ms Leopold has a larger vocabulary than her students have, it seems. ☺ Uncle G 01:02, 10 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Hello , in french[edit]

we have also some funny equivalents :

  • for "to smarten up, to dress, to decorate" , we have

- se faire beau, ou belle

-se mettre sur son 31 ("to put oneself on one's 31")

-se tirer à 4 épingles ("to be streched apart by 4 pins")

  • & for "to make small improvements, to add some finishing touches", we have :

-faire une retouche, ou un raccord de maquillage ("to add a touch-up to one's make up")

-se refaire une beauté ("to make again oneself a beauty")

-se replâtrer la façade ("to plaster up one's house front")

-se ravaler la façade ("to smoothcast one's house front") etc...

And of course all this to titillate one's partner (relationship between "titivate" & "titillate" is underlined in my Webster's dico...).

PS : In spanish "afeitar" doesn't mean only to shave, but in general to adorn oneself, & also with make up.
