Etymology[edit]

The cited refs are too outdated as to be valid for the given etymology "From Proto-Indo-European *werg- (“to turn”), from Proto-Indo-European *wer- (“to turn, bend”)." Rather LIV2 assigns the Latin verb to *h₂erg. HJJHolm (talk) 15:53, 30 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
