- I wonder whether this is English or ==Translingual==. Here are 1, 2, 3 hits in (what I take to be) French (found using google books:za ut mi|re fa|sol. Note that I have not by any means exhausted that search: there may well be more hits there).—msh210℠ (talk) 00:35, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

- Is there any reason why that has to be? za is used with the same spelling and meaning in more than one language and in settings (sheet music without lyrics) that are not specific to a certain language. That sounds like translingual to me.

- Enough citations have been produced only for French, but this RFV concerns English. The solfège syllables have the same spelling and meaning in multiple languages because they share the same etymon, I don’t see why we should make an exception for za. — Ungoliant (falai) 22:31, 20 June 2014 (UTC)

- This seems to be a copy and paste mistake by the user who originally added it. PhanAnh123 (talk) 03:25, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
- Speedied. There were three language sections at thum. The Tedim Chin and Zou entries were copied over to za by @Rajkiandris and used as templates to create entries in those languages at the new location. What they didn't notice was that the Vietnamese section came along with the Zou section. This was a character-for-character duplicate, down to the bolded word "thum" in the quote.
