VBAC (plural VBACs)

1. (medicine) A vaginal birth undertaken with precautionary measures subsequent to a cesarean section birth.

     "In contrast, women who live in El Centro (Imperial County) have vaginal births after cesareans, known as VBACs, at less than a tenth of the state rate and have some of the highest rates of cesareans in the state."

   I was worried about having a VBAC because my mother nearly bled to death when she gave live birth to me after having had a cesarean.
