Proper noun[edit]
- Originally a separate borough from Hartlepool itself; the two were merged into a county borough in 1967 as Hartlepool, which later became a local government district in County Durham and currently a unitary authority. The name is no longer shown on OS maps, the grid ref was NZ5032.
