Etymology[edit]

New Latin xeno- + -pus, from Ancient Greek ξένος (xénos, foreign, strange) + πούς (poús, foot).

Coined by Johann Georg Wagler in Isis von Oken v.20, 1827, p726.

Proper noun[edit]
