Named after Japanese engineers Hidetsugu Yagi and Shintaro Uda.

  1. (radio) A type of directional antenna with one driven element and one or more parasitic elements; a directional radio or TV antenna consisting of two or more dipoles in the same plane with all dipoles parallel to each other.
