Ye'kwana[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Despite appearances, apparently unrelated to anümü (to scoop up); if this word were derived from it via the intransitivizer öt-, it would be expected to be agentive rather than patientive.

Pronunciation[edit]

Verb[edit]

aanümü

  1. (intransitive, patientive) to stand up
