Usage notes[edit]
The direct object of alceli is the thing oriented by the subject in a particular direction, while the direct object of celi is the thing toward which it is oriented—the ultimate goal of the action. Compare:
- alceli fotilon ― to aim a camera
- celi anason ― to aim at a duck
- alceli fotilon al anaso ― to aim a camera at a duck
