Etymology[edit]

Seemingly from the name of the Ethiopian mountain Amba Aradam (from Amharic አምባ አራዶም (ʾämba ʾäradom)), the location of the 1936 Battle of Enderta which was fought during the Second Italo-Ethiopian War.
