Posthumously named after Wilhelm His Jr. in 1906 by Daniel John Cunningham.

angle of His (plural angles of His)

  1. The acute angle formed between the cardia at the entrance to the stomach, and the esophagus. It forms a valve that prevents reflux of stomach acid etc.
