Noun[edit]
assholedom (uncountable)
- (vulgar, slang) The state or condition of an asshole, or objectionably antisocial person.
- 2009, John Sandford, Rough Country, link:
- Maybe, he thought, looking for an excuse, the realization of assholedom was the beginning of wisdom.
Usage notes[edit]
Ofttimes misanalyzed by the native speakers and thus confused with assholehood (“the state or condition of being an asshole”). The only dialects that seem to draw a clear distinction between assholehood (“the state or condition of being an asshole”) and assholedom (“the state or condition of an asshole”) are Northern English dialects which still maintain the "hood/dom" distinction.
