English[edit]
Noun[edit]
bee escape (plural bee escapes)
- (apiculture) A panel having holes or mesh allowing bees to be removed from a hive before honey is harvested.
- 2009, Kim Flottum, The Backyard Beekeeper's Honey Handbook, page 67:
- Bee escapes have a long history in bee removal. These are simply one-way doors—bees leave a honey super and can't return, or at least they can't return the same way they left.
