Etymology[edit]

Inherited from Ottoman Turkish بزمك (bezmek, to get tired of, become disgusted with), from Proto-Turkic *bẹŕ- (to shiver, tremble; to hate, be bored, feel aversion).

Cognate with Old Turkic [script needed] (bez-, to shiver, tremble), Azerbaijani bezmək (to feel aversion), Kyrgyz безүү (bezüü, to be fed up with), Turkmen bezikmek, Uzbek bezmoq.
