Borrowed from Javanese ꦧꦿꦩꦕꦺꦴꦫꦃ (bramacorah, criminal; defendant), from Old Javanese brama, brahma (anger) +‎ corah, cora (thief), from Sanskrit ब्रह्मन् (brahman, the Absolute) +‎ चोर (cora, thief).
