Etymology[edit]
From Proto-Albanian *darja (“pig”), from *ǵʰóryos (“pig”) (compare Greek χοίρος (choíros, “id”)), from Proto-Indo-European *ǵʰḗr (“hedgehog”), from *ǵʰer- (“to be excited, bristly”) (compare Latin horrere (“to bristle, tremble”)).[2][3]
Perhaps the source of the name of the Illyrian tribe Deuri.
