  2. (intransitive) to do well to, to better, to be advised to
    Ar face bine să se pună pe treabă dacă vor să termine la timp.

Usage notes[edit]

In imperative constructions or subjunctive constructions with jussive value, the accompanying sentence is introduced with the copulative conjunction și (and)—an example of hendiadys—and is in the same mood. Otherwise, the subordinative conjunction is used as expected.
