Inherited from Ottoman Turkish گوگس گوگسه (göğüs göğüse),[1] from گوگس (göks, gögs, göğüs),[2] equivalent to göğüs (chest, breast) +‎ göğüs +‎ -e (dative suffix), literally chest to chest.
