- (geology, biology) The interdisciplinary study of the interactions between the Earth's biosphere and the lithosphere, which incorporates both geology and biology.
Usage notes[edit]
Although both "biogeology" and "geobiology" are accepted, the latter is the more common form. Using "biogeology" tends to emphasize the geological aspects of the discipline.
