homogeneous coordinate (plural homogeneous coordinates)

  1. (geometry) Any one of a set of n + 1 coordinates which non-uniquely identify a point in an n-dimensional projective space; when such coordinates are all multiplied by the same scalar, then the set of them still identifies the same point.
