Etymology[edit]
From Proto-Albanian *ϑōp-, * ̊tśap-, from Proto-Indo-European *ḱeh3-(i-) (“to sharpen”). (Indirect) cognate to Latin cippus (“pale, peak, point”). A formation with the prefix kë-.[1]
