Usage notes[edit]
There is no Finnish adjective equivalent to English "homesick". To express the feeling, the noun koti-ikävä is used with an appropriate verb such as olla (“to have”), tulla (“to become”), kärsiä (“to suffer”) or vaivata (“to trouble, suffer”).
