Tocharian B[edit]

Etymology[edit]

From Proto-Tocharian *kräṅk-ān-, from Proto-Indo-European *krenk- (to make a loud noise). Cognate with English ring (noise), Lithuanian krankėti.

This etymology is missing or incomplete. Please add to it, or discuss it at the Etymology scriptorium.
Particularly: “None of these cognates are actually from *krenk-, so if someone more experienced could find an actual root for all of them, that would be nice.”

Noun[edit]

kranko ?

  1. chicken
