Pronunciation[edit]

Mač̣hí istríža ne žun, ónǰeṣṭa.- Women do not eat honey because it is ritually pure (ónǰeṣṭa).
Usage notes[edit]
Only domestic honey is considered ónǰeṣṭa, not that found in the wild.
