mash up (third-person singular simple present mashes up, present participle mashing up, simple past and past participle mashed up)

  1. (transitive) To mash; to crush (usually food) into a smooth substance.
    mash up the avocados
    mash up the pills
  2. (transitive) To disfigure, devastate or destroy.
    The car accident mashed up my legs, now I'm never going to walk again.
  3. (transitive, music) To remix two or more songs together into one.
    The DJ mashed up Britney Spears and Daft Punk.
