  1. badly affected (by something (recent), emotionally or physically)
    Han är fortfarande medtagen efter att björnen jagade honom
    He's still shaken up from being chased by the bear
    Mannen som gått vilse i skogen var svårt medtagen när de fann honom
    The man who had gotten lost in the woods was in a very bad shape when they found him
    Han var svårt medtagen efter sjukdomen
    He was in a very bad shape after his illness

Usage notes[edit]

Similar to "shook up," but also physically, and less informal-sounding.
