From Ottoman Turkish موجبنجه, from Ottoman Turkish موجب (mucib, necessity; motive), from Arabic مُوجِب (mūjib), active participle of أَوْجَبَ (ʔawjaba).

Equivalent to mucip (necessity; motive) +‎ -i (possessive suffix) +‎ -n- (themactic consonant) +‎ -ce (adverb-forming suffix)
