White Hmong[edit]

Etymology[edit]

From Proto-Hmong *ntshʉᶜ (elephant),[1] probably borrowed from Proto-Lolo-Burmese *tsaŋ (id), the latter apparently borrowed from Proto-Tai *ɟaːŋꟲ.[2]
