From Proto-Inuit *nuanniʁ- (enjoy oneself, pleasant, enjoyable), from Proto-Eskimo *nuna- (to enjoy oneself). Compare nuannaraa (like, appreciate), and nuannaarpoq (is pleased, enjoys oneself).
