Etymology[edit]
From Ottoman Turkish اوران (oran, “measure, proportion, moderation”),[1] shares common origins with Proto-Turkic *orum (“cut, cutting, tuft”), from Proto-Turkic *or- (“to mow”),[2] morphologically oran + -tı.
