Borrowed from English biscuit, from bisket, from Old French bescuit, masculine singular past participle of bescuire, from bes- (twice) (Latin bis) + cuire (to bake; to cook), possibly corresponding to a Medieval Latin biscoctum, from Latin bis- + coctus.
