Egyptian[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Possibly a reinterpretation of earlier simple psḏt (nine, nineness, ennead), feminine of psḏw (nine), when written with nine bow signs.[1]

The reinterpretation consists of psḏt +‎ pḏt (bow).
