Egyptian[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Uncertain; one possible derivation, based on the attested longer form pꜣ-zꜣ-n-mṯk, is p(ꜣ) (the) +‎ z(ꜣ) (man) +‎ n(j) (of) +‎ mṯk (the Libyan deity Meṯek), thus ‘the man of Meṯek’.
