Central Franconian[edit]

Alternative forms[edit]

Etymology[edit]

From Old High German rehtes. The regularly lost -ch- was restored in most dialects under the influence of eastern dialects and Standard German, but remained in the adverb due to the final -s. Compare the same in Luxembourgish riets versus Recht.

    Antonym: lenks
