reserved track (countable and uncountable, plural reserved tracks)

  1. On a tramway, a section of track which is not laid in a street. The track can be on an alignment alongside the street or road, or follow the alignment of an old railway.
    The tramway along the Belgian North Sea coast is mostly reserved track.
