English[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Nonce word from a Perry Bible Fellowship comic by Nicholas Gurewitch, in which two characters (with "Pro Skub" and "Anti Skub" t-shirts) shown brawling over "skub" are juxtaposed with a picture of the "skub", a small tub of cream-like substance.[1] The term was adopted by the users of the imageboard 4chan to mock users who would incessantly argue over inconsequential things. Compare weeaboo, from the same comic series.
