Noun[edit]

triangle of life (plural triangles of life)

  1. A space next to a solid object, which (according to a disputed theory) a person should occupy in order to reduce the risk of injury inside a collapsing building, e.g. during earthquake. The crushing of the solid object is said to form a slope that protects the nearby space in the manner of a roof.
