watt-hour meter (plural watt-hour meters)
- A meter which measures, and registers, the amount of electricity consumed in a circuit; especially one connected to a domestic power supply for the purpose of billing
Usage notes[edit]
- Technically, it measures the integral of the power in the circuit with respect to time, often in terms of kilowatt-hours.
