  1. To persuade someone who disagrees to agree with one's own point of view.
    My parents didn't want me to see him any more, but I finally won them around.

Usage notes[edit]

  • The particle and the verb are separable. The object may appear before or after the particle. If the object is a pronoun, then it must be before the particle.
