- The coloured (green and yellow) version of this symbol is displayed on the cars of learner drivers in Japan. It is also used in other learner contexts, such as tutorials targeting beginners.
- It is called the 初心者マーク (shoshinsha māku, “beginners' mark”) or 若葉マーク (wakaba māku).
