Etymology[edit]
From Ede Idaca Idaacha (“Ìdàáchà”). A local folk etymology suggests it comes from ìda (“princess”) + Ìṣà (“the town of Ìṣà, the Ìṣà people”), literally “Princess from Ìṣà”
