Etymology[edit]
From the children's book Mio, min Mio by Astrid Lindgren. The book title is word play on Italian mio (“my”). The name can also be interpreted as a short form of names ending in -mio, such as Artemio, Eutimio, or as a masculine equivalent of the Swedish Mia.
